Editorial standards

Selection criteria

A story must describe a concrete development — a trial result, a policy change, a deployment, a measured improvement — not a vague aspiration. We prefer primary sources and peer-reviewed or official reporting over commentary.

Writing voice

• Plain language. Jargon is translated; acronyms are explained once.
• Context over hype. We say what happened, where, and why it may matter — including caveats.
• Warm, not saccharine. Progress can be hopeful without being naive.

Verification gate

Every story card requires at least one linked source, descriptive alt text for visuals, and confirmed image rights before publish. Editors may hold a story rather than rush an unverified claim.

AI and automation

Discovery tools may suggest candidates from RSS feeds; they never auto-publish. Human editors review, rewrite, and approve every item. AI-generated text is not published without substantial human editing and fact-checking.
