Our commitment

Factual errors undermine trust in progress reporting as much as in any other journalism. We correct substantive mistakes as soon as we confirm them — usually within 24 hours of a valid report.

What counts as a correction

• Wrong numbers, dates, locations, or attributions
• Mischaracterisation of study results or policy effects
• Image or caption errors that change meaning

Typos and minor style fixes may be silently updated. Material changes are labelled on the edition and noted in our archive.

How corrections appear

Corrected editions show a correction note at the top when the change affects understanding of a story. The story card may include an inline note. Previous wording is not hidden — we explain what changed and why.
